Water: Nature’s Miracle

Water can do what nothing else on earth can!

When you pick up a water bottle and take a drink, do you ever think about the e_____（特别的，非凡的） substance inside?

Did you know:

* Water is densest at 4 C, just above freezing. About that temperature as well as below it, water is lighter. Because of this, ice floats, and water freezes from the top down. If ice were heavier than water, rivers and lakes in cold climates would freeze solid. All fish would be die, and ice would not melt in the spring. Life would be impossible!
