Bonds have been in the news a lot in the last few weeks.

前几周的新闻焦点是债券。

Yelds (Yields) on the 10 year US traisury (treasury) note jumped to their highest level in 5 years, before easing.

10 年期的美国国库券跃升至 5 年来的最高价格。

Bonds are died (debt) owed by a government or a company.

政府或公司拥有的债券是债务。

The holder of a bond is paid interest until the date when the bond materials (matures).

债券持有人会被支付利息，直到债券到期。

Then the amount of the bond, is faced (its face) value, is paid back.

然后会被返还债券面值。

Investors can buy a new bond and keep it until it materials (matures).

投资者可以购买新上市债券直到到期。

Or they can buy unsell (and sell) existing bonds.

他们也可以买卖现有的债券。

The return on a bond is called the yield.

债券的收入称为收益。

Yields and prices of existing bonds can change as investors trade them.

现有债券的价格和收益在投资者买卖的时候都可能变化。

Yields fall when investors seek the security of bonds and they are willing to pay higher prices.

当投资者为寻求债券的安全性而愿意支付更高价格的时候，收益会降低。

Yields increase as prices fall.

价格高则收益低。

This month, yields on the 10 year traisury (treasury) note raise (rose) above 5% for the first time in close to a year.

本月，十年国库券的收益首次高至 5 ％。

Higher yields raise the cost for individuals and businesses to borrow money at interest rates that are tied to the 10 year note.

对于个体投资者来说，高收益提高了 10 年 note 借款利息收缩的成本 。
