The network is in a lience (an alliance) of 24 major banks and microfinance lenders in 15 countries.

Women's World Banking offers support, advice and training to more than 50 microfinance organizations.

As more commercial banks enter microfinance, Mary Ellen Iskedarian says women must continue to be served, to reduce poverty.
