The government of China says much progress has been made in efforts to control the spread for blue ear pig disease. ( 蓝耳朵？好可爱的病啊。。 )
中国政府声明已经采取了很多方法来控制蓝耳猪病的蔓延。
Government official said last week that 47,000 pigs were infected in July.
上周官方报告，七月有 47,000 头猪被感染。
That was down more than 50% from the number reported for June.

The name for the virus comes from the effect that the infected pigs can temporarily develop discolored ears.

The scientific name is Porsign (porcine) reproductive and resprotory semdron (respiratory syndrome).
