阴霾几日，下午时勉强从高空中泄出丝丝微弱的金光，把乌云布满铁板似的天逐渐分割成了大小不等的板块。随着光线的飘移，连点成片，光的裂缝越来越大，终于挤破厚重的丛云，露出温暖的微笑。很喜欢阳光，是的，希望又是一个暖冬，不必裹着臃肿的衣服就能度过，可是当一个又一个暖冬称意而来时，我却有点害怕。凡是看过《难以忽视的真相》的朋友，那部以美国前副总统戈尔为全球气候变暖大声呼喊的游走演讲作为素材的纪录片让我们着实为暖冬捏把汗。

 无论其中有意为之的政治攻击类型的舆论导向有多明显，事实终归是难以篡改的。一年又一年，气温在不受控制的使劲飙升，新闻中重重复复不断传来南极或者北极冰块大规模融化的警告，夏季阵阵袭来足以要人性命的恐怖热浪……在残酷的现实面前，不知道还有多少人带着蔑视的笑容讥讽“全球气候变暖”的说法，他们的固执和麻木不仁让人觉得一阵恐惧。

 2007，又是一个冬天来临， 《难以忽视的真相》中的数据又将承接上一年的重担，今年的冬天，会不会又是很温暖呢？今年，又有多少冰川化为乌有呢？突然很怀念小时候经历的寒冬，一家人围着熊熊燃烧的火炉吃饭，抱着厚厚的被子一觉睡到大天光，很想再看到厚厚的雪，预兆着新的丰年……

　Clearly if we are to participate in the society in which we live we must communicate with other people. A great deal of communicating is performed on a persontoperson basis by the simple means of speech. （1） If we travel in buses， buy things in shops， or eat in restaurants， we are likely to have conversations where we give information or opinions， receive news or comment， and very likely have our views challenged by other members of society.

　　（2） Facetoface contact is by no means the only form of communication and during the last two hundred years the art of mass communication has become one of the dominating factors of contemporary society. Two things， above others， have caused the enormous growth of the communication industry. Firstly， inventiveness has led to advances imprinting， telecommunications photography， radio and television. Secondly， speed has revolutionized the transmission and reception of communications so that local news often takes a back seat to national news， which itself is often almost eclipsed by international news.

　　No longer is the possession of information confined to a privileged minority. In the last century the wealthy man with his own library was indeed fortunate， but today there are public libraries. （3） For years ago people used to flock to the cinema， but now far more people sit at home and turn on the TV to watch a programme that is being channeled into millions of homes.

　　Communication is no longer merely concerned with the transmission of information. （4） The modem communication industry influences the way people live in society and broadens their horizons by allowing access to information， education and entertainment. The printing， broadcasting and advertising industries are all involved with informing， educating and entertaining.

（5） Although a great deal of the material communicated by the mass media is very valuable to the individual and to the society of which he is part， the vast modem network of communications is open to abuse.However， the mass media are with us for better， for worse， and there is no turning back.
