The opium poppy harvest since in the Afghanistan is only weeks away. Police were destroying more poppy fields but that brought attacks from militants ally to opium traffickers and Taliban. On Saturday, police in southern province of Kandahar say 4 officers were killed by the Taliban as they were eradicating opium poppy. In neighboring Helmand province, an explosion targeted a police eradication team, but they are no casual available yet. In the separated incidence, 4 police and a help man were killed and 5 injured in a Taliban ambush.
