A US embassy convoy in Kabul, Afghanistan was damaged by a bomb today. An AP reporter who saw the explosion says two people were treated at the scene. The embassy says several people were hurt, one seriously.
Four years ago, President Bush announced Operation Iraqi Freedom was on the way. Over 3,200 US troops have died since that day.
Senator Patrick Leahy says he plans to subpoena White House officials involved in firing federal prosecutors. It's not clear whether the executive branch will fight the move. The dismissals have some lawmakers calling for the Attorney General's resignation.
Searchers in North Carolina will be looking for a missing boy scout again today. The boy disappeared from a troop outing on Saturday. Part of his mess kit was spotted less than a mile from the troop's camp.
An Airbus A380 super jumbo jet took off from Frankfurt, Germany just after nine this morning on its way to New York. The double-decker plane has a wing span wider than a football field and hold more than 500 passengers.
