一个冬天的早晨，一个叫JAMES的小男孩醒来发现屋外一片雪白——下雪了。他欢快得冲下楼来到花园中，堆了一个雪人……午夜十二点，他醒了过来，决心去看看那个雪人。当他打开门时——他不敢相信自己的眼睛——雪人活了过来！他们相互笑着，有礼貌地脱帽自我介绍。于是开始了一段神奇的旅程……本张专辑的作曲者为英国作曲家Howard Blake。这张原声碟是为1982年BBC的一部仅长达30多分钟的动画片而配，却成为了圣诞主题之经典。尤其是主题曲WALKING IN THE AIR更是被世界许多知名歌手翻唱。
