A bird in hand 指在稳握在手的已得之物。至于two in the bush指在林中自由飞的两只鸟。两只鸟在数量上虽然比一只鸟要多，却在林中随时有可能飞走。还是珍惜目前所有，不冒险看似更好却有很大风险没把握得到的东西。
例如：
If you start your own business, you may earn a lot of money
but you may also lose everthing. So I suggest you stick to your present
job. After all, a bird in hand is worth two in the bush.
