在形容人talking too much 老是没完没了的，喋喋不休在说话时候，

有个非常形象的说法叫“run off at the mouth”.

这里的“run”与水有关。我们打开水龙头时，水会哗啦哗啦地流出来。想象一下，如果某人张开嘴，话像自来水一样流出来，那还真是没完没了呢。
