A lot of people ask me about what it's like to be an entertainer and how much fun it is to film movies and TV Shows.? Most people only see the final product whether it be a TV Show, a movie, or commercial.? However a lot of people don't know how much time and effort it takes to really put together?a film or TV Show.? I mean, there have been?periods when I basically wake up, film for 10-12 hours and then go to bed and then do this over and over and over...

Take for instance Talk da Talk.? You can check out our shows here http://www.talkdatalk.com/media/? For some of our shows, we shot them at a ski resort in the U.S. - Lake Tahoe.? In filming Talk da Talk, I wanted to show you what a typical day of filming was like for me so that?you can appreciate all the hard work that goes into filming a show like Talk da Talk...

Morning we basically check to see if all the equipment is working.? There's so many types of camera equipment, lighting, and microphones.? You need to make sure that everything is working and you have everything you need (including extra batteries!)

Then we need to go over the script.? For Talk da Talk, we are teaching English so we want to make sure that each episode has enough valuable content to fill a five minute episode.? Here I'm with my partner Rich and producer Angela making sure that the script is perfect.

For this series of Talk da Talk episodes, we needed to film on the top of a mountain as we were filming about skiing and snow.  We would spend most of this day - the whole afternoon filming on the top of this mountain.

Now it's filming time!  To shoot a perfect 5 minute episode takes much more time than 5 minutes.  There's also mistakes, problems with the lighting or the sound.  Most of the time I need to do it at least 2-3 times before we get a shot right!  Here, I'm teaching ski wear English!  Skis, goggles, ski hat, gloves...

More filming!  Here we filmed words and phrases related to the word “face” - like face off, face time, have face, two-faced... and we filmed everything from the face of a mountain! 

We continued filming until it got dark.  On this one day of filming we were lucky to get about 5-6 episodes of Talk da Talk done.  So you see... it takes a lot of work to put together good TV Shows for you!

After a long day of filming, it's time to relax.  As we were in Tahoe, we wanted to catch a nice show.  However, after a long, long day, I was exhausted!  (Angela was lights out as well - see - she's sleeping at the very top!)

So you see!  The life of an entertainer isn't all that easy and there's a lot of hard work, preparation and effort involved to put together something like Talk da Talk.  So the next time you watch a Talk da Talk TV show, think of all the effort that went into filming the show (this doesn't even take into consideration all the post production in the film studio that needs to be done in order to have a finished product!)

So guess what we did the very next day?  More filming....
