OneRepublic是美国的一个流行摇滚乐队，成立于科罗拉多州。自2006年夏天以来，他们活跃与网络，并成为MYSPACE最受欢迎的艺人之一。作曲／制作人Ryan Tedder 和他的高中朋友Zach Filkins 在科罗拉多州斯布林市创建了乐队。然后乐队搬迁到洛杉矶。在Columbia Records短暂的工作之后，他们和Interscope Records/Mosley Music Group 签约了，并且完成了和乐队同名的首张专辑。乐队的核心Ryan Tedder同样也是创作pop, rock,rnb的作曲／制作人。他们的歌曲"Apologize"的混音版本被收入Timbaland2007年发行的专辑TimbalandPresents: Shock Value中。这首歌曲的原始版本将会作为即将到来的专辑的单曲发行。８月末，在洛杉矶本地电台KIIS-FM的节目中，这首歌受到了大量的点播。2007年8月2日乐队在FOX电视台的 "So You Think You Can Dance"节目中现场表演了 "Apologize"。

这虽然只是他们的第一张专辑，但他们却早已备受关注，My Space的点击率过了千万。专辑风格在独立、流行和摇滚之间，歌曲的旋律都不错，让人很容易就能接受，对于喜欢流行还是摇滚的歌迷来说都是不错的选择。值得一提的是专辑中大部分歌曲都是由Ryan Tedder来完成，也是一个不简单的人物。
