70年代刚出道时是轻轻唱着《I Honestly Love You》的清纯少女，70年代末跟John Travolta唱作俱佳演出『The Grease』中的高校美眉，80年代初大胆挑战性感路线、以香汗淋漓的健身操国歌《Physical》艳惊四座，90年代初战胜乳癌的过程让她体悟到人生真谛，舞台上百变风情的她，下了舞台后变成致力关心环境问题的环保人士。
走过30年的歌唱岁月，Olivia Newton-John拿过4座葛莱美奖，9座全美音乐奖，缔造英美26首Top10金曲，以超专业的态度面对反复无常的音乐工业，在不断的自我创造与拓展音乐范畴中保持巅峰。
Olivia Newton-John 1998年与Clive Richard举行个人睽违多年的演唱会。1999年、2000年紧接着展开全美巡回演唱会，2000年时还分别到香港与韩国开唱。2000年的雪梨奥运开幕典礼，奥莉薇亚与澳洲摇滚歌王约翰法汉（John Farnham）携手，在全世界四亿观众前对唱《Dare to Dream》。
从2001年开始每年都有的美国巡回，2002年时甚至带着学离交响乐团一同前往演出，2003年跟2006年时也在澳洲与日本演出。今年，Olivia Newton-John接受澳洲皇室受勋，同时获取英澳两国爵士的无上荣誉。
