It brings plenty of noise and air pollution which do a lot of harm to our health.Furthermore,it creates many natural disaster,such as water and soil erosion,sand storm,flood and drought catastrophe. Therefor,we deeply feel that we can't bear the situations.
How to improve our enviroment?And who on earth do have a obligation to do it?
Some people are of the view that individuals can do nothing to improve the environment, and only governments and large companies can make a difference.For one thing,they think individuals' strength is weak and they don't afford it at all.Large companies have abundantal financial resources.If they can offer the fund for improving environment,they will be with a higher reputation in the society.And it confirms an old proverb that "kill two birds with one stone".For another,those people also think now that the government is a supervisory system of social actions, it should have the obligation to ameliorate our situations when the surrounding gets worse due to the government's negligence.Moreover,they consider that some irresponsible plants have a crucial role to arouse current environment polltion.Some chemical plants even are in upriver neighborhood for their high benefit, resulting in downriver's polltion.Hence,they must be with responsibility for it.
As for me, the above notion is incomplete. "Tiny steps, big changes".Although we don't have an ability to make drastic change of our surrounding,we can do bagatelle around us.In fact,we can do lots of things to improve our conditions.For example, we can try our best to go some place by bus or by subway in order to reduce motor vehicle exhaust.It not only avoids air polltion,but also lightens traffic jam and cuts down our expense on vehicle.Giving another example,we also can use fabric bag,instead of plastic one.It is effective to control "white pollution".
In conclusion,environmental improvement is not only the responsibility of governments and large companies.Anybody can participate in it.If everyone makes great efforts for it,our environment will be better and better,even better than before.

Further, should each person contribute something to the environment, the result would never be underestimated and the government would save and invest this expenditure in other departments. Above all, a public awareness can be formed when everyone pays attention to the common living space on the planet. As a result, instead of polluting the environment unconsciously, people will actively and carefully preserve the nature.

Admittedly, governments and large firms exert a certain impact upon the protection of bio-system, given that they can regulate rules and laws to ban misbehaviors towards the environment or invest hugely in infrastructures. However, it is easier to destroy than preserve the environment. To illustrate, human beings can easily contaminate a river in 5 minutes but it may take few months to recovery, thus educating the public and reducing the pollutants from them tends to be more important.


To sum up, it is conceded that government and large companies may play beneficial roles to improve the environment. Despite of this, individuals may exert a more beneficial or detrimental role, which just depends on their attitudes to the environment. Overall, I am convinced that without the help of individuals, the environmental quality can hardly be promoted.

Nowadays, we pay more attention to our environment which is rapidly polluted by ourselves. In many countries and cities, in order to develop economy in a large scale, we human beings dirty the air with waste gases; we poison the water with chemical wastes; we damage the soil with fertilizers. Fortunately, more and more people notice that environmental pollution is becoming the most serious problem that mankind faces. As we all know, air, water and soil are necessary to man's survival. Polluted air, water and soil make people sick and even cause deathes. So, there is no doubt that it's high time for us to take some measures to change it.

However, some people think that individuals can do nothing to improve the environment, and only governments and large companies can make a difference. They feel individuals are too weak and small to this huge polluted world. There is nothing we can do about it. And we have to count on our government and large companies to solve this problem cause only them have enough financial, techonoligical and human resources to overcome this complex problem. To some extent, they are right, governments and large companies do have their advantages and it's also their responsibility to help man get out of this situation.

In my opinion, it's not just governments and large companies' business, we every individual has to take our responsibility. And I also think it's too late for us to solve the environmental pollutions that wecaused, we have to stop polluting our environment and protect it from now on. Our governments and large companies should develop environment-protection-oriented industries and agriculture so as to kill two birds with one stone. For us, although we can not correct the mistakes in one day, but there are still a lot of things that we can do to improve the ecological environment. First, we should make the public aware of the dangers caused by pollution. Second, we should take pollution control measures to reduce pollution. Third, we should keep our pollution under control. How can we do this? In fact, it's easy and simple. Take some examples, we do not throw litter everywhere, we save energy, we plant more trees and so on. These are small things and we can do them in our daily life. And finally, I'm sure that our efforts will bring great influence on our environment and our life.
After all, the earth is our home. We must take care of it for ourselves and our descndants.
