Philosophy is like a mother who gave birth to and endowed all the other sciences. Therefore one should not scornn her in her nakedness and proverty,but should hope, rather, that part of her Don Quixote ideal will live on in her children so that they do not sink into philistinism.

哲学就像胜于其他科学并且赋予他们一切的母亲，因此部门不该嘲笑哲学的简陋与贫乏，而应该期待哲学中唐吉歌德式的理想能在其他科学中继续存在，以免其他科学陷入功利主义中。
