On the afternoon of November 20th, about 300 teachers and students, from 6 classes of senior one of Yiwu No.2 Senior High School, set forth in six buses to the Yiwu Labor Base for elementary and secondary school, to temper themselves through manual labour. This is the second batch of students who went there this semester.The first one has successfully finished their tasks from 17th to 20th .

During the 3-day agriculture-learning activities, the first 300 students attended lectures about the introduction of the labor base and agriculture technique knowledge, loosened the teafield, digged the bamboo garden, picking yams and so on. Besides, some students consulted the teachers in the labor base about the knowledge of feeding chickens and pigs, while some ,with the lead of their teachers, visited the aged in the localnursing house for old people.

Of all the activities, the most exciting was that the students watched a movie named Destroying Gangsters in Desert, the mostunforgettable was that every student took part in the dumplings-makingcompetition in person. Though not good at making dumplings, they felt very happy and ate with great relish. Some students proudly said that it was particularly meaningful to eat dumplings made by themselves.

According to the introduction of Chen Zhangquan, vice director of Yiwu Technology and Labor Education center, who took charge of the labor base, the agriculture-learning activities of Yiwu No.2 Senior High School were characterized by strict organization, timely publicity, strong administration and noticeable achievements. The teachers had a strong dedication,and the students had a strong sense of organization and discipline, as well as high labor enthusiasm. In a word, teachers and students of Yiwu No.2 Senior High School were exceptionally good.

The banners hung in the labor base greatly interpreted Mr. Chen’s words. “Loving labor, loving life and creating life”, “Labour is well of any knowledge”, “Throwing out rice equals to shedding bloody sweat”, “Labor makes a man wise，students of No.2 Senior High Schooldemonstrate their intrinsic talents”.

President Zhu Yuewang said, “During the labor, though many students raised bloody vesicle on their hands, got their limbs tired and aching, and darkened their skin, they deeply experienced the difficulty of labor, the joy of harvest, meanwhile improved their operating and practical capability. It is of great realistic and memorable significance for our teachers and students to take part in such activities on the occasion of the 10^th anniversary since the License ceremony Of our school in labor base.”
