上接： 08春口译二阶段之口语模拟试题发布（重要）

    在对08春高口口试考题的口语部分进行预测之后，本着精益求精的治学态度，笔者对口试考题进行了评析与解答，发布以下参考答案（新东方口译研究中心版权所有）。答案中粗体斜体字部分为解答的模块句型，广大新东方考生未必字字重复，掌握精要即可。

A.     What is your perspective of constructing a harmonious society in China?

Currently, China meets the challenge of constructing a harmonious society, which may take a long time and arduous work for the government and Chinese people. However, as a Chinese, I am positive of the future prospect and looking forward to the arrival of that day.

(新东方评析：此题目系典型的高口高度，乍看的确令人魂飞魄散，特别是初次考试的考生。但万事开头难，如果学会如何化繁为简，则往往会绝处逢生。此处建议考生看出问题的实质：challenge. 先简要归纳一下问题并表明自己观点, 便于稳定初进考场的情绪。以后遇到类似题目也可采用相同的处理方法。)

Constructing a harmonious society is a challenging task because China is faced with/is confronted with/faces/confronts the problem of imparity between the rich and the poor, between urban and rural areas.

(评析：该句型是用于问题阐述的模块句型，而贫富差距则应该是考生平时所需要了解的背景知识)

Nowadays, Chinese economy has developed rapidly within each passing day. A case in point is thatthe 2008 Olympic Games will be hosted in Beijing of China, which will greatly spur the Chinese economy. Furthermore/Moreover/In addition/What is more, 2010 World Expo will be hosted in Shanghai, yet another arena for all the nations to display their social, economic, cultural, scientific and technological achievement.

(评析：注意此处举例的模块用词以及经济方面的术语，我在上海新东方的课堂上已经进行了大量的归纳，这里就不一一赘述。)

However, with China’s developing economy, there still exists the problem of the gap between the rich and the poor. The government and local authorities have made joint efforts with each other to solve the problem. For instance, the State Council has issued laws and regulations, removing the agriculture tax from rural areas, a powerful step to narrow the gap between the rich and the poor.

(评析：注意此处解决问题的模块句型，至于国务院取消农业税的背景知识，已不是最新的消息，这里还是需要平时国事、家事、天下事，事事关心。)

As an ordinary citizen, we shoulder the responsibility of publicizing/popularizingthe idea of constructing a harmonious society so that everyone bears the awareness.

(评析：如果无背景累计，也可采用“喊口号”之类的方法。注意这里的模块词，同学还可以根据各自经历举出实例，比如支援灾区、支持西部大开发等等，这些例子真实且易讲。因人而异，这里就不再一一展开。)

In conclusion/Last but not least, we cherish the hope that there will be a harmonious society in China and we Chinese people will live in peace and harmony with each other.

(因口译考试可能未必讲满时间，因此结尾部分在打草稿的时候可言简意赅，注意结尾开头句的用法。)

B.     How to be a qualified torch bearer in the torch relay of 2008 Olympic Games?

Beijing has won the bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games, which symbolizes the pride and glory for us Chinese people, and stimulates Chinese economy. The torch relay is a grand ceremony of this grand event. It gives any individual pleasure and honor to be a torch bearer in the Olympics.

(新东方评析：这里还是要注意开头部分的衍生。建议考生可以按照 wh 和 h,即 what, when, where, who, which，why以及how进行有的放矢的衍生。比如这里可以先讲奥运会(what)，再强调torch bearer的重要性（why），最后引入正题，舒缓紧张情绪。但还需掌握奥运必备词汇以及礼仪致辞技巧，在我的课上已是老生常谈了，建议熟练背诵新东方《中高级口译考试词汇必备》一书。)

Firstly and most importantly, a qualified torch bearer in the torch relay should be patriotic. Without patriotism, it is impossible to shoulder this responsibility no matter how excellent the candidate is in other aspects.

Secondly, a qualified torch bearer needs to have a special talent in certain aspects. He or she may be good at sports, music, language (…) and so on. Because as a grand event, only those eminent candidates can stand out, carry and pass the baton.(接力棒，形象比喻)

Thirdly, a qualified torch bearer needs to have enough patience and perseverance. The competition between candidates is very fierce, just like that between athletes in the arena. If you are lack of the necessary patience and perseverance, you cannot endure the pressure and touch the finishing line. (终点线，形象比喻)

However, since the Tibetan unrest, there has been the emergence of secessionism in the international community. A small group of secessionists are propagating the so-called “Tibetan independence”. To make matters worse, some famous foreign TV stations even like CNN are spreading rumors and distorting the fact. Any qualified torch bearer should face up to any possible violence and danger, and endeavor to protect the flame even at the risk of his life.
