in the recent 50 years：“recent”后面，绝对不能跟特定的一段时间；表示“过去的一段时间”要用“past”。例如：
in recent years, China has enjoyed prosperity. 近年来，中国一片繁荣景象。
In the past ten years, my hair has turned gray. 过去10年中，我的头发变白了。
参考答案：In the past fifty years, China’s pharmaceutical industry has grown from nothing into a booming industry. When the PRC was established in 1949, China’s basic pharmaceutical industries were very weak.

常见错误：Now the raw material of chemical pharmacy in China has owned a relatively very important position in the world market.
has owned：人们常常用have/has owned替代have，其实have往往更为准确一些。Have owned有两层意思：一、具有所有权；二、所有权的获得是在过去，现在可能已经有所变动。请注意该词组的正确使用方法：
正确：Dr. Gates has a good reputation as a careful doctor.盖茨医生以医德高尚著称。
错误：Dr. Gates has owned a good reputation as a careful doctor.
a relatively very important：“relatively”和“very”它们都是程度副词，不能同时用来修饰important。不同程度副词（如quite、very、somewhat、rather等）不能同时使用。
参考答案：Yes, and now China has achieved an important position in the world market as a supplier of raw materials for pharmaceuticals.

her：in her … it didn’t open——英语中指称祖国时通常不用女性代词，而用it。
early 30 years：“Early”一词，不能和特定时间段一起使用。这里应当用“first”。例如： In its early years, the automobile was a novelty. 汽车刚刚发明的日子里，人们对它感到很新奇。 In my first two years in America, I was homesick all the time. 刚到美国的那两年，我总是想家。
since 1980’s：指称年代时，要用冠词“the”引导。
参考答案：Not exactly. In the first thirty years, China’s economy was not open to Western countries. But since the 1980’s, in the last twenty years, China’s international trade has taken off.
