You：我觉得中国的电子工业必须走市场化的道路。WTO的成员都必须遵守国际惯例。
David：Can you please explain?解释一下原因吗？
You：有些电子厂商认为应当对外国的电子产品设置适当的壁垒；而我认为外国公司会是良师。如果不敞开大门，我们就没法学习别人先进的东西，就很难提高自己。
David：However, don’t you think that the sudden introduction of foreign electronics companies may catch domestic manufactures off guard and thereby hurt their businesses?但是，你不觉得外国电子公司进入中国市场会使中国的电子工业受到冲击和蒙受损失吗？
You：不会。实际上，我觉得国内厂家已经有了足够的时间来降低负面影响和做好进军海外市场的准备工作。

regulations must be opened：形容国家、市场开放可以说“opened”，人的思想开放用“open-minded”，但法规的开放应用“liberalized”。例如： After California liberalized its gambling laws, many Indian tribes decided to open up casinos on their reservations. 在加州博彩法规放宽之后，许多印第安人开的赌场纷纷出现在他们的居留地上。

foreign electronics industries：“some”修饰单数可数名词表示“某个……”；说话者可能知道指的是谁，也可能不知道，这样会给听话者造成理解上的障碍。恰当的表述应是“one governor”。在表达复数意义时，要说“some Chinese officials”。例如： Some workers were praised for their work, but one worker got fired.大多数的员工得到了奖赏，但有一个被开除了。
other people：“the other people”暗指前面已经提到了的一些人。如果表示一般概念上的“其他人”，应用“other people”或“others”。例如： I think that drinking red wine is good for your health, but other people disagree.我认为喝红酒对人的身体有益，但别人可能不这样认为。
