Transportation
The charleston international airport is the busiest passenger airport in the state of the South Carolina.However,you're looking for public transportation,you are not going to get much beyond the bus system,which is operated by the Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority,most likely you will have to travel by car while there.Here is a bit on the road within Charleston:interstate 26 enters the city from the north-northwest,and connects the city to its airport and interstate 95.Interstate 526,or MARK CLARK expressway,forms a half-carcle around the city.Highway is Meeting Street.This the highway merges with king street in the city's Neck Aera to form the rivers avenue.Highway 78 is the king street in the downtown erea,eventually merging with king street to form rivers avenue.
Recommended Accommodations
As the auditons will be held in the north Charleston coliseum,which is just off I-526 and just  south of the charleston international airport,you will mostly likely want to stay somewhere relatively close to this venue.This area has everything from comfy inns to afordable motels to very luxurious hotels.you should have no problem finding a place that is not only close is the colisuem,but also close to many sights to see in Charleston.

Whife Charleston is konwn for its excellent seafood,there are numerous wonderful restaurants that offer a  variety of cuisines.What is great is that these restaurants also offers tastey food for everyone budget.Choose a restaurant in the beautiful downtown or eat after doing something sightseeing within the historic district.Either way, you won't be disappointed.
Sightseeing
History buffs will be thrilled with landmarks and various museums in the Charleston erea.The Old Exchange and Customs House features a dungeon which held some of the signers of the Declaration Independence,and also hosted events for George Washington!Not far from the Charleston 
Fort Multrie and Fort Sumter,places in which significant events within the Civil War took place.For those who like to be spooked,there is a Haunted Jail Tour in the Old City Jail, which housed some of Charleston's worst criminals. The Hunley, a famous warship, and the Morris Island Lighthouse also come highly recommended. Want to take a load off?How about bicycle rickshaw ride through the city's historic street and cobblestone paths?There is no shortage of things to do in this charming day.
