Do you like to play WOW? Which online game is the most popular in the U.S.A. now?

       Hello, my name is Jorge Perez, I understand that one of you asked if we play WOW and were also wondering which online game is the most popular one in the U.S.A. I have chosen to answer this question because I happen to enjoy playing video games…even when I am not supposed to.

       Yes, I do play the MMORPG called World of Warcraft. I am currently playing the Burning Crusade expansion and am a level sixty-three orc warlock. I also play this game with my sister and soon with my forty-three year old father (we have three computers). In the game I enjoy hunting members of the opposing faction as well as helping lower level members of my faction level up their characters. This game is currently my favorite because I am able to play and talk with people from all over in a fun environment. In the game I am currently saving up my gold for my flying mount training in a few levels, and then I am going after the Phoenix mount.

       Unfortunately, I am unsure which game is officially the most popular online game in the U.S.A right now. According to http://gamelist.mmosite.com/?op=area&key=us the title for highest ranked online game in United States is tied between two games, Archlord and Sword of the New World; while I don’t know these games somehow I doubt that something more popular than WOW would escape my attention (I am a gamer after all). Looking at the number of people in the U.S. that play Halo 3 (I count it as an online game because most people only play the game online) I would say that Halo 3 is the most popular game in the U.S.

       Since I live in the U.S. I typically hear of popular games over here; but I wonder what is popular in China?

Do you play video games? If so, which do you like best, PC games, TV games or online games?

       Yes, I do play video games. I play video games almost every chance I get with all the studying that I have to do which is very stressful; video games help me relieve this stress and calm myself so I avoid losing my mind due to continual studying. What makes it more fun is not playing by myself but playing the games with my little sister; if you currently play video games alone and have a sibling try playing the games with him or her and see how much more fun they are.

       I do not have a favorite type of game, I have favorites in all three types of games, I play WOW which is an online game, I play Halo 3 which is a TV game(although over here they are called console games), and I play Warcraft 3 which is a pc game; all three are my favorites of their respective types of game play and therefore, I cannot like one type of game more than another.(By Jorge Perez)
