The 17th Sept. last year I posted my diary entitled my first night in New york. I did this to let my relatives and my students know that I had arrived in New York safe and sound. Time flies! A year has passed quickly. I am now sitting at the desk writing for my blog in my den in Fudan. But in the early 1940s it took Joseph Needham about 3 months to travel from Cambridge to China. Modern technolgies are making the universe smaller and smaller!Maybe in some years you can send your girl friend a box of mooncake from the Jupiter. Who knows!
