II .顺序不同

7）back and forth：前前后后，来来回回地
eg: He paced back and forth in his room．他在房间里来回踱步。

I want the contract in black and white．我要这项合同见诸文字。
9）sweet-and-sour pork chop：酸甜排骨（不过有时也说糖醋排骨）；
酸辣汤：hot and sour soup

eg: Applications for the job are coming in slowly in twos and threes． 申请这份工作的信件三三两两来得很慢。
11）sink or swim（fail or not）：成功与否
12）foot-and-mouth（disease）：（牛羊等的）口蹄疫
13）go through fire and water（for sb／sth）：为……赴汤蹈火
14）（by）fire and sword：（战争中）杀人放火
15）（there is）no smoke without fire：无火不生烟（谣言也是事出有因的）
