There are always aguments that Northern Aemrican like thier sentences to be short and concise, while British Enlgish still keep thier sentences to be more cmplicated in vocabularies or even the sentneces structures.

It is pretty hard for us learners to master, however, in Business letters, for example, we may see the "style" differs in describing one matter at a time.

Without practice, one could be hardly smell the difference, so posted here my homewark to share with all, to see if any one you would prefer?

You may please choose from following two examples. make sure, one is more up-to-dated, the other is in old british style, i imitated.

Thanks if so, i am glad, but till now, i am not sure of which one is good for myself; we are basically too much influenced by the British one i think. Those text books, and the way we write in Chinese too.? what do you prefer, if you don't mind?

Personally, I like the American style. It is more friendly. The British style, on the contray, seems that the writer is trying to keep a distance from the reader,or showing off. It might be the price of being polite. But I enjoy reading the British-styled writings.
