President Bush will eulogize his former press secretary today. A funeral mass for Tony snow was set for this morning in Washington. The President has said that Snow is sorrowly missed. The 53-year-old lost his battle with cancer last Saturday.
Thousands attended the funeral of the Israeli soldier today. The bodies of Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev were handed over to Israeli authorities by Hezbollah guerrilla yesterday. As part of the prisoner swop, Israel is handing over 5 Lebonnese prisoners and the bodies of 200 Arab fighters.
Pope Benedict is urging people to exercise responsible stewardship of the goods of the earth. He made the comments while in Australia for World Youth Day. The Pope said that in the future environmental protection will be of vital importance to humanity.
Cold weather and windy conditions are meeting Golf at this year’s British Open. Padraig Harrington is trying to repeat his champion. He almost had it withdraw because of a (?). This is Golf’s first major championship since Tiger Woods underwent season-ending knee surgery.
