全员都是关西出身的KANJANI8由横山裕、涉谷subaru、村上信五、锦户亮、内博贵、安田章大、丸山隆平和大仓忠义等8人组成于2002年组成。2004年以单曲《Naniwa Iroha Bushi》正式在日本全国出道。KANJANI8的歌曲别具一格，融合了关西腔和关西独有的幽默，为歌迷带来不少新鲜感。 

　　《F.T.O》为KANJANI8的第一张大碟，收录15首歌曲，包括单曲「大阪 Rainy Blues」和「Sukiyanen, Osaka」，还有歌迷期待已久的「大阪罗曼史」。为配合大碟的推出，KANJANI8也会在5月举行首次全国演唱会。

Kanjani8 (関ジャニ∞) is an idol group of Johnny’s Entertainment (ジャニーズ事務所 janīzu jimusho).
Before grouped into Kanjani8Uchi Hiroki (内博貴)* , Maruyama Ryuhei (丸山隆平) and Yasuda Shota (安田章大) with two other Kansai Jr. were members of V.West. In the year 2002 the two Kansai Jr. quit Johnny's Entertainment and Ohkura Tadayoshi (大倉忠義) who was the original Drummer of V.West came back.
After the four top Kansai Juniors [ Yokoyama Yu (横山裕), Shibutani Subaru (渋谷すばる), Murakami Shingo (村上信五) and Nishikido Ryo (錦戸亮) * ] joined the group, Kanjani8 was finally formed.

The group is well-known for being irrepressible, managing to defeat all odds to turn out victorious despite all obstacles. Despite being kept in storage for a long period of time, their singles, Naniwa Iroha Bushi and Osaka Rainy Blues, both did very well, debuting at No.2 and No.1 respectively. Osaka Rainy Blues, following the success of their first hit single, managed to sell more than 160,000 copies in the first week alone. Victory is made so much sweeter by the fact that there was close to no promotion at all for the two singles, very much unlike their Tokyo counterparts.

The group's name literally means Kansai Johnny 8, referring to the Kansai prefecture origins of all the members. Most of their music have a very distinctive Osaka flavor (six of the eight members are from Osaka), and they are also known for having topped the enka Oricon charts with their single Sukiyanen, Osaka / Oh! Enka / Mugendai. Several members are capable of singing enka.

Kanjani8 is also famous for their loud and funny personalities, stereotypical traits of Osaka-jin. In the song/single Sukiyanen, Osaka, they interrupt the song between verses with konto, ad-libbed comical skits.

In the beginning of 2007, it was officially announced that Uchi would leave permanently and Kanjani8 will continue to act as a 7 person group. They will be doing another concert tour in 2007 and will release a full album in the spring.
