The U.N committee of 80 (18) independent experts peppered the U.S delegations with numerous questions. It challenged the assertions that the government was doing enough to combat alleged racial discrimination in the attention of African-Americans and other minorities.

The community members also expressed concern about issues such as racial proliferating (profiling), alleged racial bias in illegal (the legal) system and sense thing (the sentencing) of African-American juveniles to lifelong person (prison) terms.

Acting U.S Assistant turning (Attorney) General as (at) the Justice Department’s civil rights division, Grace *Chung Becker said the delegation shared the community (Committee’s) concerns about police brutality.

"In the surveillance to vision (civil rights division,) we have increase by 25% number of cases that we have brought in this area and we have increased conditions (convictions) by 53% of the last seven years. In addition, on the civil side, we continued to presume (pursue) pattern in (and) practice cases against the policy departments for what we can preserve (perceive as) unconstitutional policing. This can include excessive uses of force, as well as a biased policing and unconstitutional searches in this *(and seizures.).”
