Connor's personal life began to gain substantial media attention after her 2005 marriage to American pop-rock musician Marc Terenzi, which resulted in two children, Tyler (born in 2004), and Summer (born in 2006).

Although generally belonging to the pop genre, Sweetbox incorporates many other sounds in its music, such as classical, rock, dance, rap, R'nB, soul, acoustic and country. To date, Sweetbox have sold over 3 million albums and 2 million singles worldwide.Sweetbox is widely noted in video gaming culture as being the singer of the English dubbed songs of "Real Emotion" and "1000 Words" which appeared in the popular video game Final Fantasy X-2.

Mayer began his career performing mainly acoustic rock, but gradually began a transition towards the blues genre in 2005 by collaborating with renowned blues artists such as B. B. King, Buddy Guy, and Eric Clapton, and by forming the John Mayer Trio. The blues influence can be heard on his album Continuum, released in September 2006. At the 49th Annual Grammy Awards in 2007 Mayer won Best Pop Vocal Album for Continuum and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Waiting on the World to Change". Franklin has had a total of twenty number-one singles on the Billboard R&B Singles Chart. Two of them became #1 hit songs on the Billboard Hot 100 as well, "Respect" in the 1960s and her 1980s duet with George Michael, "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)".

In 1991, the ladies of Centerfold stopped performing and Laura (together with Rowan Moore) started a band called The Backlot. After one performance in Dutch theatre Paradiso, an album was expected, but Mercury Records had already asked Laura to make a solo album. This first album of hers was called Introducing (album), produced by Ruud Jacobs. On this album, she was accompanied by famous Belgian musician Jean 'Toots' Thielemans. Most of the songs on the album are jazz.
