The 1st World Mind Sports Games

IMSA, the International Mind Sports Association, is organizing the 1st World Mind Sports Games in Beijing, China, It will be held from 3rd October to 18th October, following the Olympic Games in August and the Paralympic Games in September 2008.

The details sports are Bridge,Chess, Draughts and Go. In the inaugural Mind Sports Games in Beijing, Chinese Chess (Xiangqi) has also been invited to participate.

In the Pairs competition, there are 46 teams with Bulgaria, China, Russia, Germany and India entering the highest rated combinations.

There will be 60 players in both the Men’s and Women’s Individual events for Rapid and Blitz.

The total number of participating federations in the Games is 77.

摇曳的音调

一弯寒月

叶子和花仿佛在牛乳中洗过一样；又像笼着轻纱的梦。

月光如流水一般，静静地泻在每一片叶子和花上。薄薄的青雾浮起在荷塘里。[朦胧的月光、薄薄的青雾，使月下荷塘如同世外梦幻的仙境，作者的心才能够暂时得到宁静，才能排遣内心的彷徨和苦闷，从而透露出淡淡的喜悦。]

SPRING

Spring is the first season of the year, which covers a period from March to May. With an average temperature of 20℃， it's a warm and damp season when days are getting longer and everything comes back to life. TO BE HELPFUL

The writer got help from some strangers after she had lost her bike. She was deeply moved and thought that acts of kindness do more than help for those in trouble and for the society.
I absolutely agree with the writer and I do find it a pleasure to help others after I had an experience of giving help. That day I saw an old Granny in her 80s trying hard to cross the street with a walking stick. I ran up quickly to help her. The old Granny held my hand tightly and said thanks to me. She told me that it had always been a great fear for her to cross the street after her husband died from a traffic accident 2 years ago.
I can still remember her grateful eyes, for I didn't expect that such trivial help could have meant so much to her.
Her words made me transformed and enlightened, and I come to understand the real sense of offering help -- By helping others, we're perfecting ourselves. Thus, I think willingness to help should be encouraged in our society. If everyone is willing to give a hand, we'll live in harmony and the world will get prospered.

考试时草稿纸掉在了地上，你知道监考老师也看见了，你会：
1、老师自会过来帮我捡起的

3、自己去捡起

考场附近20－30米处时有几声敲击木板的声音传来，你会：
1、甚烦，要求老师帮忙去制止
2、甚烦，但知不可能叫老师去制止，忍着，事后一定要写信给校长反映
3、告诉自己专心在试题中，自会不受它干扰

自由 vs 责任
只享受自由，或追求过大的自由而从未想过其附带的责任，其后的苦果迟早是由自己承担

“学会做人，学好本领”（平行关系？递进、条件、因果关系！）

文明落后之时，国家大力提倡能力的培养。现在其趋于饱和时，回归人作为群体动物的本性，要求以群体（社会）为中心 => 社交能力甚于知识技能

国泰民安，因此，娱乐、休闲、消费行业看涨（历史上亦如此）（苗头：唱歌、艺术，到现在的宠物、花草）[问：接下来是朝什么方向发展？一定要找个行业先干起来（创业）开始对“社会学”感兴趣 => 翻译？文学？]

发达国家：城市 8.7亿－> 10.1亿，农村 3.2亿－> 2.4亿

第一次用大票：
小学毕业后回母校拿成绩，门口桌旁坐着一位很儒雅的男士，问我是否要报补习班（英数），20元。我报了，但当时真的对补习班没什么概念，只是以为这是拿成绩的一个必要程序。后来，那位男士成了我们暑期补习班的老师，他给我打下了一定的英语基础（当时课堂纪律是比较差的）

今晚的女排半决赛看得很窝火！！！

输了。
中国对巴西，本就没有指望非得要赢，但如果是因为没有尽力而输，而且是3比0的光头，看着就想骂人了！！
整场感觉都是慢半拍，根本没有积极起来。有两次自由人都判断出了对方扣球的方向及着落点，人都在那位置了，你就行行好把手伸出去好不好？！！！管它能不能接到那个球最起码试一下嘛，你的手缩在那里作甚啊？！！！
到了第三局，不要说慢半拍、放懒了，简直就是乱了阵脚、乱打，急着送完分给人然后好回家睡早觉似的。
再来看看所谓的陈忠和的指导。我觉着整晚的组织根本就是弱智所为、尽是投机取巧。严重怀疑他参与了外围赌博。
冯坤在第一场被换下来后就没有再上过，其实她在打的过程中作用挺大的，她是队长、组织能力强，且她的反应很快，像今晚应对以扣球速度之快闻名的巴西队，就应该有她的在场，为什么没有她？！！别来跟我说什么心理压力大之类的废话！
赵蕊蕊被换下来的直观原因是，她在后排时，判断错误而接了一个很明显就会过界的球。之后就没见她上场了。
我狂晕，想骂人，更想打人！

数码相机

A650去年被召回。现象：打开可旋转液晶屏后，在晴天并有光线直射于相机背面的情况下拍摄时，会出现如下不良图像。

对象产品：标注于相机底部的生产编号从左至右第5个数字为“0”，即“XXXX0XXXXX”的产品为对象产品。但也有部分生产编号同上，但电池盖内侧进行标记的商品，由于进行了相应的调整，因此不会发生上述现象，请继续使用。

保护镜头的最好方法还是加装UV保护镜。毕竟UV镜可以更换而且容易清理，镜头是没法更换的。

数码摄像机不用的时候，要放在专门的防潮箱内存放，不能随手放在摄影包中。因为现在大多数摄影包都含有大力的棉质布材，很容易吸收水分

数码相机最理想的收藏环境，首推中高档电子温控防潮箱。另外，如果长时间储存，还应该选择天气较好的日子，取出相机，取下镜头保护盖、开大镜头光圈，放在干燥通风、且无阳光直射的地方透透气，而且在透气的过程中，要调换几次角度，使照相机各部位都舒张一下。

国际相机工业协会指出，温度在10℃以上或湿度60%RH以上霉菌便会滋生

A mother's letter to the World

Dear World:
My son starts school today. It's going to be strange and new to him for a while.
And I wish you would sort of treat him gently. You see, up to now, he's been king of the roost.
He’s been boss of the backyard. I have always been around to repair his wounds, and to soothe his feelings.
But now, things are going to be different.
This morning, he's going to walk down the front steps, wave his hand and start on his great adventure that will probably include wars and tragedy and sorrow.
So, World, I wish you would sort of take him by his young hand and teach him the things he will have to know. Teach him, but gently, if you can. Teach him that for every scoundrel there is a hero; that for every crooked politician there is a dedicated leader; that for every enemy there is a friend. Teach him the wonders of books. Give him quiet time to ponder the eternal mystery of birds in the sky, bees in the sun, and flowers on the green hill. Teach him it is far more honorable to fail than to cheat. Teach him to have faith in his own ideas, ever if everyone else tells him they are wrong. Teach him to sell his brawn and brains to the highest bidder, but never to put a price on his heart and soul. Teach him to close his ears to a howling mob and to stand and fight if he thinks he's right. Teach him gently, World, but don't coddle him, because only the test of fire makes fine steel.
This is a big order, World, but see what you can do. He's such a nice little fellow.

This year my birthday is going to be depressed and tiresome because in the coming six tests for Senior 3 students, I'm going to supervise four and attend one -- the English test which comes on the very day of my birthday. What’s more, three nights of the students’ self-study are waiting for me to attend around my birthday! God damn the school! Though I’ve told myself to be easy, I still expect something unusual.

See what I awarded myself yesterday. After school, the weather was pleasant. So I decided to go back home for supper. Then I cycled to school in order to enjoy the ease and beautiful sceneries along the road, which was laden with the fragrance of spring flowers.

After work at night, I cycled home bathing in the clear and gentle moonlight, planning to ask Q to join me in the appreciation of the peaceful night (with something to eat of course ^o^ )

However, when I hurried to the fifth floor, half of my desire was cooled down. I felt tired. Opening the door, I found the most power-consuming lights were on while my Q was not present. I was about to lose my temper when I suddenly saw that under the lights was a bunch of red roses lying on our bar counter, beautifully packed.

All at once, my anger and tiredness disappeared. What a nice surprise! Then my Q showed up “谁教你不按门铃就进来的，哈～～？！……”I happily jumped into his hug, regardless of what he was saying …

He told me that we may have been to the river bank to send off the paper wish boats as he had planned.

只能想到 touching。查了好多字典，才发觉这个词没有个地道的英文单词来表示，有些甚至用到了fragrant（芬芳）。

    Since the so-called teaching reform, with four classes to give each day and tremendous homework to check, I find that students are no longer lovely, the scenery once enchanted me a lot are weary, and nothing in the school seemed satisfying.
    A roaring desire is mounting, frightening me that I might go crazy if I did not get an instant rest and relax.
    That day after my class, I went to my motor as usual. To my surprise, a beautiful flower was presented to each motor, and carefully stucked into the hole of its head, smiling and greeting. I guessed that the flowers might just be one of the children's entertaining kit, but still I felt transformed and deeply touched.
    On my way home, I found the blue sky was crystal clear and the sun was shining brightly, corresponding with my shinny mood.

读别人，其实也在读自己，读真、读善、读美的同时，也读道貌岸然背后的伪善，也读美丽背后的丑恶，也读微笑背后的狡诈。读人，最重要的是读懂怎样为人。读人，是为了要做一个真正的人。因此，读人时，要学会宽容，要学会大度，由此才能读到一些有益于自己的东西，才能读出高尚，才能读出欢乐，才能读出幸福。
