留意I’m so glad you could come.（真高兴你能来访） 一语， 动词用了过去时could come，因为“能够前来”以至“动身前来”是两件事，见面时已成过去，切勿改用现在式come或can come。假如不说could come，可说I’m so glad you came/ were able to come. 改用现在完成时动词也可以：I’m so glad that you’ve come. 但have come着重的是“来了”，came或could come则着重“前来”。当然，说高兴人家“在场”，必须用现在时动词：I’m so glad you are here.
