Dear Mr. Yan,
Congratulations! You have been selected as a Fall 2008 Morgenstern Scholar.

We were impressed with your application and we hope you accept this remarkable scholarship opportunity established by the Morgenstern Family Fund.

The scholarship covers each of the two years (P2) of graduate study if you maintain a 3.25 GPA or higher each year.

In every year of study, the Morgenstern Fund will support a half tuition scholarship based on program enrollment hours up to 15 credits each semester. Your financial package includes: 

Year One: Full Tuition Scholarship (half-tuition from the Morgenstern Fund and half-tuition from the Graduate College Scholarship); 

Summer after Year One: A paid summer internship with a sponsoring Chicago firm. The Chicago firms include Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, Murphy/Jahn, DeStefano & Partners, Krueck and Sexton, Holabird & Root, and Annex 5 (a division of A. Epstein); 

Year Two: A Chicago Firm Scholarship (half-tuition from the Morgenstern Fundplus $5000 Chicago firm scholarship, resulting in a 3/4 tuition-free year of study);

In summary, as a Morgenstern Scholar, before earnings from your offered internship, you will be responsible for approximately 1/8 of your graduate tuition.

You must confirm your acceptance of this scholarship in writing to Nicole Osborne, Assistant Dean for Graduate Academic Affairs, no later than April 21st, 2008.
