我和石磊认识是在朋友为上海热线做的一个活动上，当时的他是该活动的司仪，人刚刚到上海，已经有了自己制作的中文歌曲专辑，还有了个人官方网站，刚刚24岁的他在和人沟通的时候表现得很积极，动辄就和人推销自己和他的中国情结，一副不成功便成仁的劲头和架式。这一点令人十分佩服，我想：但凡想有些成绩的人都需要有点儿石磊的精神，真的。

如今，这位从《创智赢家》走出来的Star，又开始了新一轮的选秀征程（《加油，好男儿》），很高兴他已经顺利进入武汉赛区的前5强。

石磊来中国是做明星的，目前异常明确清晰，也表现出超乎年龄的成熟。

在下面石磊和Steven的谈话中，大家可以真切感受到石磊优于同龄人的特质。


 Benji的后创智赢家时代
S: Hi BenJi, welcome to our show.

B: Thank you.

S：你好，石磊，欢迎来到我们的节目。

B：谢谢

S: How have you been?

B: I've been busy, but good.

S：最近过得怎么样？

B：很忙，但是很好。

S: How is your post-Winner life?

B: Post-Winner life is crazy, really busy. A lot of different projects, different companies, talking to a lot of different agencies, performing in the Chinese New Year, a lot of TV shows, a lot of interviews and magazines, newspapers, a lot of different things.

S：离开《创智赢家》之后的生活怎么样？

B：离开《创智赢家》以后的生活很疯狂。真的很忙，很多项目，不同的公司，还要和不同的经纪公司打交道，在春节时表演，上很多的节目，接受很多采访，上杂志、报纸，很多不同的事情。

S: It seems like you are rising up to a Chinese pop star.

B: Chinese pop star, that's the goal, that's the goal.

S：看来你正成为一颗冉冉上升的中国明星。

B：中国的明星，那是我的目标。

S: How busy you are? Describe a normal average day for us.

B: A normal average day, well, that's the thing that there is no normal average day. Every day there're the new adventures, lots of different things going on, so it really depends on the projects I'm doing. Like during Chinese new year, the Chinese New year show the 春满东方主题特别节目的时候，an average day would include 2 hours of Chinese少林功夫，and then going running the other subject in the city in the Chinese 美式啦啦队舞蹈团队，and then I should go practicing singing with Wang xiaokun, Yu siyuan. Then, just crazy all over the place. Now I have an interview in the morning with a magazine, and then this afternoon going to talk to a company about a project, maybe going to dinner with a friend. So it's different every day.

S：你有多忙？给我们说说你平常的一天。

B：平常的一天，其实没有平常的一天。每一天都有新的历险，有很多不同的事情发生。所以要看我在做什么项目。就像在春节，我参加春满东方主题特别节目的时候，那时平常的一天包括两个小时的少林功夫，然后参加另一个节目的中国的美式啦啦队舞蹈团队，然后我要为和王啸坤、俞思远一起唱歌进行练习。所有的地方都很疯狂。现在，我早晨接受一家杂志的采访，下午和一家公司谈一个方案，也许和一个朋友共进晚餐。所以每一天都是不同的。

S: It is moving so fast.

B: Yeah, but it's fun, I love it, I love it. It's funny in China.

S：节奏很快。

B：对，但是很有意思，我爱这种生活，在中国很好玩。

S: No wonder you said in your blog that "life is moving at a very fast pace."

B: It's true.

S：难怪你在博客里说"生活以非常快的步调前进着。"

B：是真的。

S: And time flies. And how is your trip back to the States?

B: My visit back home was wonderful, so much fun to see my family, my friends again. I had originally planed on going home on Christmas, but because of the winner I couldn't leave. So my airplane ticket was just wasted, so I would go home on Chinese New Year. But then I was asked to performed for 东方卫视's Chinese New Year program, so I can't go home then, and so I don't know, every week I want to go home, every week I have new projects, so in March I had to say for this two weeks I have to turn down all the projects, turn down the TV shows, turn down the stay for two weeks to go home to see my family.

S：光阴似箭。回美国的日子过得怎么样？

B：回家是一件很棒的事情，再次见到我的家人和朋友们我非常开心。我最初打算圣诞节的时候回家，但是因为《赢家》我不能离开。所以我的飞机票就这样浪费了。我又想在春节的时候回家，但是那时候我被叫去参加东方卫视的春节节目，又回不去了。每个星期我都想回家，但每个星期都有新的计划。结果到了三月，我不得不说我拒绝两个星期内的所有计划和电视剧，回家去看我的家人。

S: 6 Different TV shows.

B: yeah, 6 different TV shows, you've read my blog.

S：六个不同的电视剧。

B：对， 六个不同的电视剧，你读了我的博客。

S: Yeah, I'm a real fan.

B: Thanks.

S：对，我是你的粉丝。

B：谢谢。

我和中国有"缘分"

S: Can your family picture what's you're doing here in China?

B: What is my family thinking of what I'm doing in China? My family is really supportive about what I'm doing here. My little brothers and sisters feel like I'm the coolest the person in the world. They are like my brother is a Chinese pop star. They go to run to talk their friends, like my big brother is a celebrity in China. And they think it is cool, my Mom and Dad are just really supportive. 

S：你的家人能想象你在中国做什么吗？

B：我的家人对我在中国做的事情的想法？我的家人非常支持我在这里做的事情。我的弟弟妹妹们认为我是世界上最酷的人。他们觉得"我的哥哥是一个中国明星"，他们跑去告诉他们的朋友，"我的哥哥在中国是个名人。"他们觉得那很酷。我父母也真的很支持我。

S: But why China?

S: Why China? I love China, I think I have the 缘分 with China. Every morning I wake up here, I just feel happy, and grateful to be here, you know, I love the language, I love the food, I love the people, and I think that the Chinese market is amazing, I think it is a lot of potential in China.

S：为什么是中国？

B：为什么是中国？我爱中国，我觉得我和中国很有缘分。每天清晨我在这里醒来，我都觉得在这很幸福、心存感激。我喜欢这儿的语言、这儿的食物、这儿的人，我觉得中国的市场让人惊奇，有很大的发展潜力。

S: Is that related to your previous Chinese study experience?

B: Yes, definitely I worked in Australia for two years, and I got to work there with a lot of Chinese-Speaking people, and so I found the culture and knew the language and everything about China.

S：这和你之前学过汉语有关系吗？

B：那是一定的。我曾经在澳大利亚工作两年，和很多说汉语的人一起，我就是这么知道中国文化、汉语和关于中国的所有事情的。

S: What make you believe that you can be very successful here in China?

B: I've always had a lot of confidence in myself, and ever since I was young, my parents always said, Benji, you can be whoever you want to be, you can do whatever you want to do. And I always believe that, and so it doesn't matter what I decide to do, I know that I'll be successful doing now. So I decide my heart to be successful in China, then I'm going to be successful in China because I'm just who I am.

S：是什么让你相信你会在中国非常成功呢？

B：我对自己很有信心。从我小时候，我的父母总是说，BenJi（石磊），你可以成为你想成为的任何人，你可以做你想做的任何事。我总是相信这一点。所以我决定做什么无所谓，我知道我现在去做的话就会成功。所以我决定我要在中国成功，然后我就会成功因为我就是我。

明星之家

S: when did you start to have the dream of becoming a pop star?

B: Ever since I was a little kid. I'd always love to sing.

S：你是什么时候开始有明星梦的？

B：从很小的时候，我总是很喜欢唱歌。

S: How young? How little?

B: maybe 8 years old? 8, 9, or 10.When I moved to England, I really started to fall in love with singing. I made my little sister put on concerts with me in our house, just for my parents, my brothers and sisters, so we sing for our family.

S：有多小？

B：也许八岁？八岁、九岁或者十岁左右。我搬到英格兰的时候，我实实在在的爱上了唱歌。我让我的妹妹和我一起在家里开演唱会，只是唱给我的父母、我的弟弟妹妹们。我们为家人演唱。

S: What did they do for you?

B: What did they do for me? They clapped, I don't know.

S：他们做什么呢？

B：他们做什么？他们鼓掌。

S: you were doing the solo, I guess.

B: My sister would be my backup singer? no, she was the star with me, my family is very talented family, my younger sister back who's 22, she and I were both performers together for The Young Ambassadors of Brigham Young University, since I came to China two years ago, my younger brother Peter who is 16 is an phenomenal singer, he is amazing, so good.

S：我猜你独唱。

B：我妹妹是我的伴唱？不是的，她是和我一样的明星，我的家人都很有天赋。我那个22岁刚回家的妹妹和我一起在杨百翰大学歌舞团表演过。我两年前来中国之后，我16岁的弟弟皮特成了一个令人惊奇的歌手，超级棒。

S: Did you hear a lot of positive news or information about China before coming over here?

B: Yeah, I guess. Before I came to China, I had some friends from China, and I know here from them, they love China and also in America we always read newspaper news:/p/and hear about on the news and hear there's so much going on in the China, It's just the place to be.

S：你来中国之前听说过关于中国的好的方面吗？

B：是的，我想。我来中国之前，有一些中国的朋友，我从他们那里了解中国，他们热爱中国。在美国我们也读报纸，从新闻上知道中国，知道中国正在发生这么多事情。中国正是我要去的地方。

S: What you guys learn about China in your newspapers?

B: In our newspapers we hear about everything, we hear about 超女，超级女声.

S：从你们的报纸上会知道中国的什么事情呢？

B：所有的事情，我们知道超女，超级女声。

S: What do you call it?

B: Super Girl. We hear about super girl, and we hear about the stock market here, we hear about business in China, we hear about lots of things.

S：你们叫它什么？

B：Super Girl。我们知道超级女声，我们知道这里的证券市场，我们知道中国的商业，很多很多事情。

Benji的成功学

S: It seems like you demonstrated a very strong motivation of becoming successful.

B: Thank you.

S：感觉你是一个有很强的成功意识。

B：谢谢。

S: How come? I mean you are so young and you're so mature for your age?

B: 还好吧, I don't know, I just always had a lot of confidence in myself, and I have a lot of dreams and a lot of goals and I'm a really passionate person. So when I have a desire, I have to go and I go and do it, and I put my whole heart into it and make sure that I accomplish it.

S：这是怎么发生的呢？我是说你这么年轻，对你的年龄来说你这么成熟。

B：还好吧，我不知道。我只是对自己总是很有信心，我有很多梦想很多目标，我是一个非常有激情的人。所以当我有一个愿望的时候，我没办法不去做，然后我就去做了，我全心全意的投入确保我可以实现它。

S: How do you define success?

B: I define success as having a goal and a dream and never giving up, and just always going for your dream, living your dream, that is success. And success doesn't mean you won't have failures along the way, because failure is a part of success. Because every time we don't succeed at the first. As long as you don't give up, as long as you keep going and keep following your dream, it makes you stronger, makes you better.

S：你怎么定义成功呢？

B：我觉得成功就是有一个目标，有一个梦想，永不放弃，总是为你的梦想奋斗，为梦想而活，这就是成功。成功并不是说你在过程中不可以失败，因为失败也是成功的一部分。因为任何时候我们都不可能一开始就成功。只要你不放弃，只要你坚持去做，坚持追逐你的梦想，你就会变得更强、更好。

S: A lot of people may wonder you might have more opportunities here than in the States, is that true?

B: Will I have more opportunities here? There are definitely a lot of opportunities in China. And I'm definitely a lot different and I stand out here in China. Because I'm a white American boy who speaks Chinese, and I can sing and dance, and I have business background, so I definitely stand out a lot more in here, in America, I might not as stand out, but so I have a lot of opportunities in America, I was in the top accounting program BYU in the first grade, singing, dancing and performing team in America, and so I'm confident that whatever I decide to do, I'll be successful. If I decided to go to California to Hollywood, if that was my dream, I'll make it happen. But my dream is here in China right now.

S：很多人可能都觉得你在中国比在美国机会更多，你觉得是这样吗？

B：我在这里机会更多？在中国无疑有很多机会。我在中国必然是不同的，比较突出。因为我是一个白皮肤的说汉语的美国男孩，我能歌善舞，我有商业背景。所以我必然在这儿会更突出。在美国，我可能就没有这么突出，但我在美国也有很多机会。我一年级的时候在杨百翰大学是会计冠军，在美国唱歌、跳舞、表演，所以我有自信不管我决定做什么，我都会成功。如果我决定去加利福尼亚，去好莱坞，如果那是我的梦想，我会让它实现的。但是现在我的梦想在这里，在中国。

S: Have you thought about taking part in the American Idol?

B: A lot of people asked me that, and I thought about it, you know it's not my dream right now. I really hope my brother, my little brother PJ who is amazing; I hope that he can be the American Idol, because he just did so well so you know it's not my dream right now. I have a lot of other dreams.

S：你考虑过参加"美国偶像"吗？

B：很多人问我这个问题，我考虑过，不过那不是我现在的梦想。我非常希望我的弟弟，我非常棒的弟弟PJ能成为美国偶像，而我有很多别的梦想。

忙碌的上海，忙碌的生活

S: Seriously what do you want people to recognize you as?

B: What I want people to recognize me as? I want people to recognize me as an artist. I think right now people see me on TV that, 哦，石磊, he is a person who speaks Chinese, he may be not bad-looking, you know some business stuff. But what I hope they can see more in Benji is an artist, that he sings, he dances, he performs and he really puts his whole heart into sharing his art and sharing his music with Chinese audience.

S：你希望人们怎样看你呢？

B：我希望人们把我当成什么？我希望人们把我当成艺人。我想现在人们在电视上看见我会说，哦，石磊，他是个会说汉语的人，他长得还不错，还知道一些商务的东西。但是我希望人们更多的认为石磊是一个艺人，他唱歌、跳舞、他表演，他真的全心全意的和中国观众分享他的艺术和音乐。

S: Yeah, that's great. In China, life can be very busy .especially in Shanghai, Have you sensed that?

B: Shanghai is a very busy place. I'm sitting here. I can hear all the cars, and the traffic, but I love it, you know, it's a really fast-paced city. It's a huge metropolis and one of the hubs of the world. That's why it is so cool to live here in Shanghai, I just feel like it is one of the coolest cities in the world.

S：那太好了。在中国，生活是很忙碌的，尤其在上海，你有什么感觉？

B：上海市一个很忙碌的地方。坐在这里我就听到车子，繁忙的交通，但是我喜欢。上海确实是一个节奏很快的城市。上海是一个大都市，世界的中心。这就是为什么住在上海是一件很酷的事情。我觉得它是世界上最酷的城市之一。

S: If there is any possibility that can make Benji slow down, what is it?

B: Anything to make Benji slow down?

S：如果有什么能让石磊慢下来的话，会是什么呢？

B：让石磊慢下来？

S: A little bit.

B: I don't know, Actually . Pondering. Just taking time to meditate and ponder. I think normally each day I take a few moments to sit in my house and sit in the back of the taxi. I like sitting back of the taxi because taking time to just stay and think about life. Every day I'm really grateful to be here in China, think about how much I'm in bless, in my career, and how blessed in my family. And how blessed I have so many good friends to support me, and I have so many good friends here in Shanghai, really help me a lot, and just enjoy meeting with them for lunch and for dinner. So I think I should take time everyday to think about and ponder about blessing in my life.

S：一点点。

B：我不知道，事实上，沉思。我会花时间思考。我想通常每天我都花一些时间坐在家里或者出租车的后座。我喜欢坐在出租车的后座因为我有时间可以停下来思考人生。每天我都对身在中国心存感激。想想我在事业方面和家人方面受到多大的眷顾。我有这么多的朋友支持我，我有这么多的好朋友在上海，他们给了我很多帮助。我非常愿意和他们聚会共进午餐或者晚餐。所以我每天应该花费点时间好好思考一下我的人生受到多少庇佑。

S: In some interviews, you mentioned that you were here to stay. What do you mean by stay, I mean for life long?

B: I'm here to stay. I'm here to stay for a long term, I love being here, and I've a lot of goals to accomplish and lots of dreams, you know I'm here to stay. I don't know that is. It seemed like my first came here because of 缘分。And that's why I will stay, who can say the time of 缘分，我也不知道。 Maybe it is five years, maybe it's ten years, 20 years or my whole life, I don't know.

S：在一些采访中，你提到你会留下来，你说的留下来是什么意思？一生都留在中国？

B：我留在这，我会呆很长时间，我喜欢在这里，我有很多很多的目标要完成，还有很多的梦想。我会留在这里，我不知道会留多长时间，就像我第一次来这里是因为缘分。所以我会继续待下去，谁能说缘分有多长时间，我也不知道。也许是五年，也许是十年、二十年或者我整个一生，我不知道。

S: Are you thinking about getting married here?

B: 很有可能吧。

S：你考虑过在中国结婚吗？

B：很有可能吧。

S: Very possible.

B: yeah, very possible. so 随缘吧。It's according to what will happen.

S：非常可能。

B：对，非常可能，所以随缘吧。那要看将来会发生什么。
