Arie Vardi was born in Israeli, beginning his artistic career at the age of fifteen; Arie Vardi had received international acclaim as one of the country’s foremost pianist. After winning the Chopin Competition in Israel, he appeared with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra with Zubin Mehta, and upon winning the George Enescu International Competition in Bucharest, he played many concerts throughout Europe. Alongside his study of music at the Rubin Academy, he succeeded in obtaining a law degree at Tel Aviv University. Arie Vardi continued his piano studies in Basel with Paul Baumgartner and studied composition with Pierre Boulez and Karlheinz Stockhausen. He had performed widely as the soloist with major orchestras under the baton of Bychkow, Commissiona, Foss, Masur, Mehta, Sacher and the others. His concert tours had taken him to Eastern and Western Europe, the United States, Latin America, the Far East, Australia and Japan. In 1992 he had his first Russian tour, playing in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities. In recent years, he has specialized in the literature of the impressionist period, including the entire repertoire of Debussy and Ravel. His RCA records have won international acclaims and prizes.
Mr. Vardi' s extensive repertoires also include various Israeli works, many of which were dedicated to him. In addition to his concert career, Arie Vardi is a Professor of Piano at the Hochschule fuer Musik in Hannover, and at the Rubin Academy of Music, Tel-Aviv University, having served as its director and chaired the Piano Faculty. More than 30 of his students had won first prize in international competitions. His audiences were familiar to his series of "Master Classes" as well as the family series of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, which he conducted and presented.
He was a jury member in some of the leading international competitions such as Beijing, Cleveland, Hamamatsu, Leeds, Milan, Moscow, Munich, Salt Lake City, Santander, Sydney, Tokyo, Vienna, Warsaw and others. He is the Artistic Adviser and Chairman of the Jury of the Arthur Rubinstein International Master Competition.
Mr Vardi had held master classes and presented lecture recitals at the Juilliard School of Music, the Paris Conservatoire, the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the London Royal Academy of Music and other leading music institutions. In 1999, he was invited to the Yale University School of Music as a Visiting Professor. In the 1999/2000 seasons Arie Vardi directed, conducted and played a series of five concerts with the Israel Chamber Orchestra. The series was entitled “The Piano Concerto", featuring 12 concertos ranging from Bach to the 21st century.

在1999-2000年音乐季中,阿里-瓦迪指导、指挥以色列室内乐团并演奏了5个系列的音乐会。这几个系列名为"协奏曲",包括了十二部从巴哈到21世纪的协奏曲。
