Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska indicted起诉 on charges that he lied about getting 250 thousand dollars worth home renovations and gifts from an oil services company that lobbied him. The Alaska Republican says he's innocent and he intends to prove it.

A deadly morning in Iraq. At least 28 people are dead following a series of coordinated suicide bombings. The blasts爆炸 struck Shiite worshippers marching in a religious procession. Many of the dead are women and children. Officials say there are indications the suicide bombers were women.

The F-B-I is now assisting the investigation of a Sunday church shooting in Knoxville, Tennessee. Police say Jim Adkisson opened fire -- killing two people and injured seven others. One neighbor describes Adkisson as a really, really nice guy. The motive for the shooting remains不要再用is still unclear.

Some two thousand homes could be in the path of a wildfire near Yosemite National Park in California. The wildfire has already destroyed 12 homes and scorched烧焦 26 thousand acres. Officials say the fire is only 10 percent contained.

Officials say they may have caught a break in the investigation of last week's mid-air explosion aboard a Qantas jet. A valve and other fragments that could be from a missing oxygen tank have been found inside the jet. The missing tank has become the focus of the probe into what tore open a car-sized hole in the plane's fuselage.

I. Australia’s Qantas airline’s been ordered to urgently inspect every oxygen bottle氧气瓶 aboard its fleet of the Boeing 747s

II. At least 45 people are dead and more than 100 injured after a series of blast in India. Officials say up to 16 blasts went off响起 Saturday night. Several Indian cities have been hit by a serial blast in the recent month, the attacks that have been blamed on Islamic伊斯兰教的 militants激进分子.

III. Senator Barack Obama’s back in Chicago this morning. The Illinois Senator returned from his overseas trip Saturday night. Obama’s set to address a convention in Chicago toady. His Republican opponent John McCain has no public events on his schedule today.

IV. The pitcher at the center of that Minor League Baseball fight is now out of jail. Julio Castillo faces assault charges after hitting a fan in the head with a baseball. Castillo threw the ball during this brawl. If convicted, he could get up to 8 years in prison.

II. Passengers aboard the Qantas flight that had to make an emergency landing紧急降落 yesterday when a hole was ripped in its fuselage机身 are now in Australia. The plane made that emergency landing in Manila after a loud bang left a gaping hole. No one was injured. The cause remains under investigation.

III. The Food and Drug Administration(FAD) is now urging consumers to stay away from raw jalapeno peppers from Mexico. The FDA says they may be to blame for the recent salmonella outbreak. The government is also urging people to stay away from serrano peppers or dishes made with them, such as fresh salsa.

IV. AAA( American Automobile Association 美国汽车协会,读起来的时候是：triple A - -AAA~最近的夏日单曲真是美<<<<--喂) says the national average for a gallon of gas could dip below 4 dollars a gallon as soon as this weekend. IV. And charges have been filed in connection with this bench-clearing brawl. A minor league pitcher投手 was arrested last night for allegedly throwing a ball that hit a fan during this fight. More than a dozen players and the teams’ managers were ejected following the incident that lasted about ten minutes.

Weeks of searching found nothing and Fossett was declared legally dead in February. It's believed Fossett crashed somewhere along the rugged California-Nevada border.
