1.这张桌子有人吗? is this table free,waiter?
2. 小子,你仔细看看你做的好事!look what you did ,squirt!
3.这一定是由我付帐.this is on me ,I insist.
4.爱屋及乌love me ,love my dog.
5.哦,你别拿我开玩笑了oh,you are kidding me .
6.到第三街请让我下车put me off at the third Avenue, please.
May I be of assistance.gentleman?
How interesing(exciting,boring)!
More energetic(active).please.
It's coming on to rain!
It feels like spring

I wish you _____ taller.
A. would be B. were

答案就是B,如果用wish someone would/could do/be sth. I wish you were taller。

At work today, my boss told me that I must _________.

A. stop sleeping B. stop to sleep

答案就是A,这个相信很多朋友都清楚咯,stop sleeping是停止做某事,stop to do sth. If you stop to sleep it means you stop what you are doing in order to sleep.

I'm very ______ in this class.

A. boring B.bored

B。If someone or something is boring, it is causing the problem. 要是用boring,可以说a lesson is boring。

Jack had to _______ in Birmingham.

A. change the train B. change trains

B。The meaning of change in this sentence is to make it different.

1.【rain or shine】
whether there is rain or sunshine; whatever happens
He goes jogging every morning, rain or shine.

2、【one's Achilles' heel 】
weak or vulnerable point; fault, esp in sb's character, which can lead to his downfall
Vanity is his Achilles' heel.
3.apple of one's eye
His son is always the apple of his eye.
4.around the clock
He studied around the clock for his English exam.
5.as hard as nails
Uncle Joe as hard as nails;althought he is a millionaire,he doesn't help his poor relatives.
