Every September 10, one thing I will do is to call Miss Zhang, my English teacher in the middle school.
In the first year of middle school, I had English classes and I had a very young teacher who was just graduated from university. At that time, I didn't know what the English exactly is. So I was not interested in English, neither was I interested in my English teacher. I always didn't listen carefully in her class. One day, she asked me to answer her question. I stood up, but I didn't know the answer. I felt embarrassed. When she asked me to sit down, I cried. I had a sense of grievance. I thought she was finding fault with me because there were many students didn't listen carefully either.
After class, Miss Zhang asked me to her office. She asked me to listen carefully in class next time. If I listen carefully, I would answer teacher's question, and I wouldn't feel embarrassed. As a result, I would feel more interested in the subject. She also told me some experiences of her study. She said she was not interested in English at beginning. But she developed the interest. After a long talk with her, I thought she was right. And from that time on, I listened carefully in class and almost could answer all the teacher's questions. I really developed my interest in English later.
I can't forget the experience because I learnt a lot from it: Once I undertake a thing, no matter I'm interested in it or not, I should be responsible for it. Moreover, interest can be developed.
So every September 10, I want to send my sincere thanks to my respectful teacher--Miss Zhang.
