The driveline considered in this study is a two-piece driveshaft with typical 3.0L V6 engine with front wheel drive (FWD) configuration attached to a continuously varying transmission ( CVT) and power takeoff unit (PTU) with rear axle having a coupler attached to it (Figure 2). The function of the coupler is to split the torque when needed.
