金秋十月，我们迎来了第 86 届中国出口商品交易会，迎来了来自五湖四海的嘉宾朋友。

改革开放 20 多年来，广东的对外贸易得到了长足的发展，进出口总值平均每年递增 24.6% ， 1998 年广东外贸出口总值达到了 757.2 亿美元，占全国出口总值的 41.1% 。   广东省本年度的进出口总额达 1300 亿美元，占全国净出口总额的 40.1% 。到目前为止，广东已和世界上 180 多个国家和地区建立了经济贸易合作关系，出口商品不断优化，工业制成品和机电产品的出口已分别占全国总值的 39.44% 和 43.22% 。农副产品和土特产品更是异彩纷呈。

Ladies and gentlemen,

In this golden autumn season of October, we welcome in Guangzhou the opening of the 86^th Session of China Export Commodity Fair, and welcome guests and friends from all over the world.

Over the past two decades since the reform and opening-up of China, the foreign trade of Guangdong province has been making great strides and rapid developments.  The annual average total value of import and export increases by 24.6%, and in 1998, the total value of foreign trade and export of Guangdong Province reached $75.72 billion, accounting for 41.2% of that in China, and the total value of import and export in Guangdong was $130 billion, equivalent to 40.1% of that of China.  By now, Guangdong has established cooperative relationships in economy and trade with over 180 countries and regions in the world, and export commodities have been incessantly optimized.  The export volume of industrial manufactured goods and mechanical and electronic products in Guangdong respectively amounts to 39.44% and 43.42% of that of the whole country.  Agricultural by-products and native special produces are blossoming in radiant splendor.
