国内带来的手机不能，只好新买了一个，$75 samsung T239，感觉不咋地。

这边手机一般称cell phone，也看到有mobile phone，但是很少有telephone。
再见也没人说goodbye，特傻，一般都说see you (later)。
当然，我来美时间尚短，也有可能有认识错误的地方。

新手机系统是英文的，所以来说说手机里的单词。不是准确翻译，就是按照国内手机菜单常用语来翻译的。

单词不是很多，再顺便补充一下美国这边办手机的事情吧。

这边主要的手机网络运营商有at&t, t-mobile等，用这两个的中国人占大多数。感觉也像国内的移动和联通，at&t信号好，但是贵，t-mobile信号稍差，但是便宜。
这边办手机plan分两种，individual plan和family plan。family plan几个人一起公用固定的通话时间(这边接电话打电话一样的钱)，比较便宜，但是也容易有矛盾啊~
individual plan可以是prepaid(买固定分钟数，打完再买)，flex pay(先交这个月的花费，才能使用)，postpaid(这个月账单出来再付)。postpaid是需要信用记录才可以办的，要有SSN，没有SSN就要交deposit，$500这么多。family plan好像没有prepaid。然后，prepaid和flex pay都不用签约，postpaid签约一、两年买手机有折扣。

Bedding Sets：

Bed Sheet 床单
分为两种，Flat Sheet 和 Fitted Sheet. Flat Sheet像国内的普通床单，Fitted Sheet可以裹住Mattress的上部和四壁，有橡皮筋。

Mattress Pad (Mattress Protector)
铺在Mattress上面，Bed Sheet下面，一层防水耐脏垫。

Mattress Topper
放在mattress上面，增加厚度和保暖度（就是国内的褥子吧）。

Bed Skirt (Bed Ruffle或者Dust Ruffle)
覆盖在Box上面，垂到地面，防灰装饰。

Bed Cover (Coverlet) 床罩
分为两种，Bed Spread 和 Comforter. Bed Spread覆盖整个床表面，垂到地面。Comforter同时可用作保暖的毯子。

Blanket 毯子
Quilt 被子
Duvet 羽绒被
Pillow 枕头
Pillowcase (Pillowslip) 普通枕套
Pillow Sham 起装饰作用的枕套
Cushion 坐垫

Twin beds are also known as single beds. They're the most common choice for children's rooms or multi-use guest rooms. These beds are narrow and fit easily into the smallest bedroom. Often twin beds have a "trundle" underneath to accommodate a sleep-over or second guest. Twin beds are used for bunk beds too.

Double beds (also known as Full) were the most common for two to sleep in until the 1960's. They're only 15" wider than a Single bed, leaving only 27" of sleep space for each of two adults. At 75" long, a Full size bed may be too short for some taller adults.

Queen size beds are 21" wider and 5" longer than a Twin bed and 6" wider and 5" longer than a Double size bed. Though this extra width and length can make all the difference in getting a good night's sleep, each adult still has 9" less of width than if they each slept in a twin bed. A Queen bed works well for guest rooms and small master bedrooms and is a good choice for couples who like to snuggle.

Bed Set:

美国的床一般由床垫(Mattress)、床座(Box/Box-Spring)和床架(Frame)三部分构成。
Box是垫着Mattress下边支撑Mattress的部分，外围包有布饰，里面是木板框架和金属弹簧(Spring)。
Frame只是一个金属或木制框架，支撑和固定Box，有的Frame还带有床头架或床头板(Headboard)。

除了Mattress-Box-Frame式的床，美国也有Platform Bed，就是Mattress直接放在一个木制的Platform上。
