Israel has now released 5 prisioners as part of an exchange deal with a Lebanese militant group Hezbollah .The move came just hours after Hezbollah sent back to Israel the remains of 2 Isreali soldiers seized in a cross-border raid in 2006 which triggered an Israeli invasion of Lebanon. The prisioner exchange is being celebrated in Lebanon. Crispin Thorold is in Beirut.

The rapturous welcome--- the 5 Lebonese former detainees freed by Israel have crossed the border.A red carpet and martial music welcome the militants into Lebanon.In the coming hours,the men will be flying to Beirut where they will be met by the Lebanese president,prime minister and the speaker of the parliament,the 3 most important figures in the country's government.Later a celebration will be held in the southern suburbs of Beirut,a stronghold of Hezbollah where the movement's leader Hassan Nasrallah will make a speech.
