1. To eat like a horse 狼吞虎咽/吃很多
2. Straight from the horse's mouth 据可靠消息
3. To flog a dead horse 徒劳无益
I have it straight from the horse's mouth that the boss is retiring.
What's for dinner? I could eat a horse.
You'll never persuade him! You're flogging a dead horse.
No.2 PIG
1. Pigs might fly 不可能发生的事/ 太阳打西边出来
2. This place is a pigsty 这地方如同猪圈/狗窝（一样脏乱）
3. To make a pig’s ear of something 把事情弄得一团糟/ 做得不怎么好
You would not make a pig's ear of using English with the help of BBC learning English.
My dad often complaints that our rooms are pigsties .
Could the world have no crime? Pigs might fly!
No.3 INSECTS
1. Knee-high to a grasshopper 说某人小时候，年幼时。
2. To have butterflies in your stomach心情十分紧张(略带恐惧，担心)
3. To have ants in your pants 坐立不安（因对某事期待而感到兴奋）
I have ants in my pants when I'm waiting for the exam's results
I've known him since he was knee high to a grasshopper.
Often I have butterflies in my stomach when I speak in a public place.
