In the past two years, quite a few college graduates have been willing to “work for free” upon graduation, which is no longer something new. However, the tendency has turned into a “no-alternative-available reality” that is facing the society, enterprises, universities and college students. Meanwhile, it has unfolded some odd social phenomena of the present time. As a matter of fact, “no pay” practice remains illegal, and in addition, it suggests many underlying social problems. The practice fundamentally violates the principle of “payment for work done”. The unpaid labors may be exploited, or even abused by those mean and wicked employers. The downside of the practice is that it will aggravate the devaluation of college students, and result in vicious competitions, a disturbed job market and economic damage.
