Vietnam ’s Minister of Planning and Investment, DVu Hong Phuc, announced the figures here Friday at the annual meeting of E aid donors to Vietnam. PhucF says Donors have pledged 5.4 billion dollars for 2008, and increased of nearly 20% over 2007. The figure includes 1.05 35 billion from the Asian Development Bank, and 1.1 billion each from the World Bank and Japan. The Vietnam’s economy is growing at more than 8% a year, but Donors say that is partly why they it need the aid.
