大意
Red Cross are aiming to help the poor people in Iraq.

听写
The United Nations estimates up to 6 million people in Iraq are in dyer dire need of help, because of years of violence and economic hardship. It says some 4 million people are unable to buy enough food regularly, have no accesses to safe drinking water and have great difficulty getting the medical care they need. The International Red Cross Federation is aiming to help nearly 1 million of what it calls the most socially vulnerable people inside Iraq over the next year. Operation’s coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa Linda Stops tells VOA these’re people who have generally been overlooked by social welfare and aid programs, these’re people who have no or very little income and cannot make it on their own. “They’re in their homes, they’re not displaced, but they’re poor, they may be unemployed, don’t have jobs. They maybe elderly, they maybe handicapped, they qualent fall intoto a lot of calibratescategories, but they don’t fit into some of the other standard kandigrads categories that we see with a rackin Iraq such as internally displaced, you know, being taken to or moving to a different place because of violence or insecurity within the country.”
