《Stand by Me》

　　Ben E. King来自美国北卡罗莱纳洲，高中时代便开始涉足歌坛，及后参加『The Five Crowns』乐队担任主唱和词曲创作。1959年乐队因某些问题而改名『The Drifters』合唱团，并迅即为乐坛认识及得到唱片市场的认可。可是Ben E. King无心于乐团发展并于1960年中退出而开展他的个人演唱生涯。因他的单飞受到各方面认可，他便乘势推出了让他扬名立万的这首动人金曲《Stand By Me》。这首歌其实是他根据一首古老黑人灵歌「Lord Stand By Me」而改编成的，初进市场便得到了全美排行榜第四位。在1986年，由于一部与他这首《Stand By Me》同名的电影采用了他这首歌作为电影的主题歌，使这歌再度受到乐坛注意，并拿下了英国排行榜冠军。
