《Let It Be》
The Beatles过去是，现在是，或许将来也会是有史以来最受欢迎和最成功的音乐组合，他们的音乐是一种无论任何时间、任何地点、任何年龄、任何心情、任何性别、任何种族、任何身份听起来都不讨厌的音乐。1960年John Lennon(约翰·列农)John正式将自已组建的乐团定名为The Beatles并且和汉堡当地的俱乐部签订演出合约，开始闯荡天下。
1968年，他们录制了《The white album》， 1969年，他们制作了《Let It Be》这时他们非常疲惫，觉得这些专辑应该是他们最后的作品。不过他们觉得《Let It Be》有点过于悲伤，因此他们又制作了专辑《Abbey Road》。他们在他们开在伦敦的苹果公司的房顶上进行了最后一次演出。1970年4月，“甲壳虫”宣布解散。
《Let It Be》这首歌可以说是甲壳虫乐队解散前的最后绝唱，也是反映他们心声的代表作品，表达了乐队解散前其成员复杂的思想感情，在艺术特色上即结合了当时的社会状况，也表达出一定的宗教观念。

今天听一首The Carpenters的歌曲
《Top of The World》
一提到The Carpenters大家一定会想起他们的《Yesterday Once More》、《Close to You》等，这对兄妹组合无疑是七十年代最成功的流行音乐组合之一，他们在八十年代初结束演艺生涯前创作了无数好歌。虽然最先显现音乐天才的是哥哥Richard，可是妹妹Karen那近乎完美和极富感情的嗓音却更深地印刻在我们的心里。
整个70年代后期，他们已开始走下坡路。身体欠佳对卡朋特兄妹的打击更是雪上加霜：理查德不幸染上了“药瘾”为了戒瘾，他在1978年进入了一家诊所接受治疗；卡伦则因为节食而患上了厌食症。1983年2月4日，人们发现卡伦晕倒在她父母的房间里。当天，卡伦因厌食引起生物功能紊乱导致心脏病发作，在医院里告别人世。
《Top of The World》由Karen Carpenter演唱。Karen去世后，有人根据她的生平拍成一部《The story of Karen Carpenter》。影片里，她是正在唱《Top of The World》这首歌时，因体力不支，身体太虚弱，突然晕倒在舞台上。后被送往医院抢救，终因长时间患“神经性厌食症”，最终没能够挽救她年轻的生命。《Top of The World》成了卡伦的绝唱。

《Seven Lonely Days》
《Georgia Gibbs原名Fredda Gibbons，1920年8月17日出生于麻省的Worcester。从15岁开始就在广播电台的Hit Parade和Camel Caravan节目中表演。1938年和Hudson-Delange乐队一起表演时的名曲有《If We Never Meet Again》，1940年和Frankie Trumbauer合作时的名曲有《Laziest Girl In Town》，1942年和Artie Shaw乐队合作时的名曲有《Not Mine》，《Absent Minded Moon》。也就是在这段期间，她改名为Georgia Gibbs。随后，在Jimmy Durant/Garry Moore主持的广播节目时，Moore给她起了个‘Her Nibs’的外号。她坚定而准确的嗓音以及良好的艺人风范令她在1950到1959间获得15支排行榜前40位的歌曲。最开始的两支是Coral唱片公司发行的《If I Knew You Were Comin’》及《I’d’ve Baked A Cake》。

后来，她不断的改变合作的唱片公司，先是跳到RCA公司。然后58年到Rou8lette公司，出了她最后一支进入排行榜前40位的《The Hula-Hoop Song》。后又在Mercury公司录了含有《Swinin’ With Her Nibs》一曲的专辑。63年在Epic公司录了《Georgia Gibbs》，64年在Imperial公司录了《Something’s Gotta Give》。64年以后，她在意大利过着半隐居的生活。 |

《More Than I Can Say》
《More Than I Can Say》，是杰瑞·埃利森（Jerry Allison）和桑尼·库尔梯斯（Sonny Curtis）创作的，产生于50年代初期，开始是由Bobby Vee 在1961年唱红的，后来Leo Sayer于1980将之重新诠释。此曲因此成为80年代恋情男女吐露新生的抒情经典，1980年分别获得金唱片奖第二名、美国排行榜5周亚军、成人抒情榜3周冠军和英国榜亚军单曲。虽是不同的唱法和编曲配乐，两种版本其实各有千秋，唯前一版本如今少见就是。

既然当时她不在乎我却又把我的心偷走，这样公平吗？
本句中…she don’t care实应为…she doesn't care。但在口语中，尽管主语是第三人称单数，也有用don’t代替doesn't的用法。此处歌词为求发音方便，故用don’t。但正式写作应避免。一定要注意人称与单复数形式一致才是。

其意用英文解释就是Whatever will be, will be

whatever为复合关系代词，等于anything which 或anything that,而be为完全不及物动词，此处可等于happen.

应该注意的是，英文中的“lover”并不是中文中的“爱人”，而是“情人”的意思，且多用於女人婚外的情人。男人的婚外情人是“mistress”。
