There is one last GOP presidential candidate
in the race now. Senator Sam Brownback of Kansas
bowed out Friday saying his campaigning is out of money. Brownback is expected to run for Kansas' governor in 2010 when his second term in the Senate expires.
Severe October weather rips through the Midwest and the south, killing at least six people. Indiana was hit particularly hard where scenes like these are now all too common. Disaster relief has been rushed to the region.
A shootout between police and an armed suspect left three officers wounded just blocks from the Las Vegas Strip. The suspect has been taken into custody and police say the three shooting victims have non-life-threatening injuries.
It may come as startling news for some parents. The Federal Health Officials have issued a warning advising that common over-the-counter cold and cough medicines do not work in children. The panel says those medication should not be used in kids younger than six.
