I'm Michal Lev-ram with Fortune Magazine. I'm here in Nokia's flagship store in Manhattan.
You may not be all that familiar with Nokia's line of mobile phone. But outside of the US, the company actually has No.1 market share. Last quarter, Nokia upped its market share to 40 percent. Nokia actually has more market share than all three of its closest competitors combined.
One of the reasons that Nokia has been so successful is that it makes a wide range of devices for a wide range of categories in different markets and in different countries. In more mature markets like Europe, Nokia has the N series line of phones which is a multi-media series of devices. And this right here is the N95.

What the only market that Nokia is struggling in is actually the US. Last quarter the US market actually accounted for just 5 percent of Nokia's overall revenues. And part of the reasons for that is just a network technology difference. But recently the company started making a more aggressive push into the US market by offering more phones that are tailored for our networks and in opening stores like this.

If you thought the I-phone was expensive, this phone sells for almost $800. But the really cool thing about this phone is that it's unlocked. And what that means is that you can actually use it on any network, you don't have to sign up for a two-year contract. You can take it into a GSM carrier because it is a GSM phone. And get the SIM card popped in, and you can use it.
