China's successful launch of two astronauts in its second manned space mission Wednesday tells the world a lot about how serious, formidable艰难的,另人钦佩的 and well-prepared the Chinese space program is. the Chinese are not going to sit on their laurels after the success of launching Shenzhou IV in the October of 2003. They are entirely serious about developing their own space station and permanent base on the Moon and, indeed, look likely to have far more industrial and financial resources to do this in the foreseeable future than either the United States or Russia.

Chinese scientists did not stay where they were in the past two years,  they were not content simply to repeat the exercise: They sent up a two man capsule rather than just another single-man one. Two years is quite a long time, so the Chinese made clear that while their goals in space are ambitious, their aggressive but prudent and pragmatic attitude leads to the fact that they are not going to needlessly risk astronauts' lives or international embarrassment by pushing ahead too fast with their program.

中国在这周三成功发射第二艘载人飞船将两名宇航员送入太空，向世界充分显示了中国实施空间计划的务实态度、长远目标和扎实的准备. 在2003年10月成功发射“神舟”五号载人飞船之后，中国并没有满足既得荣誉，而是紧盯建立自己的空间站和月球永久基地的长远目标。看起来，中国为达到这一目标做好了比美国或俄罗斯更加充分的技术和财力上的长期准备。

在将近两年的时间里，中国科学家没有原地踏步，简单复制上一次的成功.他们此次发射了载有两名宇航员的飞船而不是像上次只有一人。两年的时间并不算短,虽然中国已经清楚的表明了自己在发展空间计划上的雄伟目标.但是他们进取而又谨慎务实的态度，避免了在空间计划上的冒进政策和可能带来的无谓的人员损失及国际尴尬。

“更快、更高、更强”的内涵是非常丰富的。它充分表达了奥林匹克运动不断进取、永不满足的奋斗精神和不畏艰险、敢攀高峰的拼搏精神。在比赛场上，面对强手，发扬勇往直前的大无畏精神，敢于斗争，敢于胜利。对自己则是永不满足，不断战胜自己，超越自己，实现新的目标，达到新的境界。对自然要敢于征服，克服大自然给人类带来的各种各样的限制，挣脱自然对我们的束缚而取得更大的自由。

“团结、友谊、和平、进步”现今已不仅是奥林匹克运动以及世界体坛的宗旨，而且还成了全人类所需要、向往和追求的共同目标。“参与比取胜更重要”是奥林匹克运动广为流传的名言，是奥林匹克的信念。：“生活中重要的不是凯旋而是奋斗，其精髓不是为了获胜而是使人类变得更勇敢、更健壮、更谨慎和更落落大方。

Citius, Altius, Fortius have profound indications which fully reflect the Olympic spirit of fighting for higher goals, pioneering and bravery. In competition facing their strong rivals, players fear nothing and fight for victory and triumph. They are never contented with what they have achieved but always try to conquer and surpass themselves in order to reach new goals and higher levels. They are courageous enough to conquer the nature and overcome all the limitations and chains from the nature to win more freedom.

Unity, friendship, peace and advancement are not only the doctrine of Olympic Games and world athletic spirit but the shared goal all human beings need and have been aspiring and pursuing for. It’s more important to participate than to win, which is the motto as well as the truth of Olympic Games. What is vital in life is not triumph but efforts, and the essence is not to win but to make ourselves braver, stronger, more prudent and more generous and open-minded.
