gates said the United States has responsibility as a global leader to resume the war in Iraq and the larger war on terrorism in spite of high cost of lives,and resorses ,and affect those cost may have on public opinion.
“A country is trouble and decided that my long and difficult war in Iraq. We want our troops to come home and be out of homes, out of harms wave. And yet most know are really sense, the leading chaos behind this in Iraq will bring dramatically more suffering from Iraq ,for Iraqis, and also disaster for the Middle East, and also lonely for us .”
The Defense chiefs remarks commit time was President Bush and Congressional leasers are discussing a second war funding bill .Earlier this week, the president vetoed the first bill presented by the Democratic controlled Congress, which contain the timetable for the withdrawal of U.S forces from Iraq starting in July. After the attempt to override the president’s veto failed, the Democrats drop their demands for a timetable.
